It is the Legendary Reggae icon, Hon. Robert Nester Marley, popularly known as Bob Marley that stated in one of his famous hit album, "you can fool some people sometimes, but you can't fool all the people all the time". And this seam to be the situation with Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom state, as his Edo state counterpart lay it all bare on the assumed  sum he recieves monthly as allocation

Governor Godwin Obasaki of Edo State, yesterday at the Akwa Ibom State’s, capital, Uyo, exposed his South-South counterpart of Akwa Ibom State, Governor (Deacon) Gabriel Udom Emmanuel, for the massive federal allocation he receives on behalf of the state yet have nothing to show in term of developing the state with the huge sum of money he receives monthly. Obasaki illustrating the differences, pointed out that if Edo State gets N10, it means Akwa Ibom would have gotten a whopping N50, yet he has been able to translates the little he receives to a tangible visible development of his state, against his Akwa Ibom state’s counterpart. Dr. Obasaki, who revealed that he, as Udom claimed, is also a technocrat, and was brought in and paved way for to become governor, just like Udom, understands that loyalty to that person is the only appreciation you owed the person, and to continue with the good works of your predecessor, and not to turned against the person that sacrificed so much to make him governor.

Governor Obsaki, who observed that Akwa Ibom state haven’t moved forward from where former Governor, now Senator representing Ikot Ekpene Senatorial district, Senator Godswil Akpabio left it, despite the huge allocation. Obasaki advised the exited crowd to vote for the APC candidate, Obong Nsima Ekere, who already have track record of uncommon transformer, even as demonstrated as the MD of the NDDC. Mr. Obasaki, who pointed out that Edo State is the gate way of the South-South and Akwa Ibom the heart, admonished the people to continue to support the APC government so as to realized the objective of the South-South.
